Whether you have a round, oval or square-shaped face, there’s a pair out there made just for you! Here’s a guide to help you find the perfect frame according to your face shape.

What is my face shape?

In order to choose a proper frame, you first need to identify your facial features. There are 5 main categories of face shapes:

A square face has more angular lines with equally wide cheekbones, forehead and jaw.

A round face has softer angles with slighter wider cheekbones and an equally wide forehead and jaw.

A heart face is widest at the forehead and gradually narrows through to the jaw.

A triangle face is widest at the jaw and gradually narrows through to the forehead.

An oval face is the most versatile to fit, with slightly wider cheekbones and a gentle narrowing at the forehead and jaw.

What type of frame to fit on your face shape?

On a square face, thinner and rounded frames that fit slightly wider than your cheekbones will have a natural look. You will want to choose the opposite shape for your glasses such as round or oval shape glasses.

On a round face, angular glasses which is bold and have clean lines will work to add some angles to your rounded face. Search for rectangular frames which will make your face appear longer as it breaks up your face structure. Angular and geometric frame shapes will add sharper, more distinct lines to your face. If you have curvy cheeks try cat eyed frames to place the focus on your eyes.

On a heart face, a winged-out frame that is slightly wider than your forehead and that has rounded bases compliments your facial features. If your chin is very narrow; choose a bottom-heavy frame to create more width. If you want to minimize the look of glasses on your face; choose a light-colored frame or a rimless frame.

On a triangle face, you want to find a mirror-opposite frame; bold at the top and soft/light at the bottom. Always ensure that the width of the frame is slightly wider than your jaw line. Cat eye frames work great for your features.

An oval face fits with most frames. Look for a frame that is as wide as the widest part of your face, which would be the area around your eyes.

Now you know how to find the right glasses for your face shape! Each of our collection of frames offers shapes for round, oval, square, triangular or heart-shaped faces. And it’s also valid for sunglasses!
