Jackson grew up in Ga-Matlala about 70 km outside of Polokwane. He obtained his Optometry qualification at the University of Johannesburg. His professional interest lies in fitting Hard contact lenses especially Scleral contact lenses. He has attended conferences and seminars on the subject. For him it is always a rewarding and fulfilling experience when he walks "the scleral lens fitting journey" with his patients and helps them achieve clear, functional vision with these lenses. He has a passion for understanding multifocal lens manufacturing technologies available in the field as he believes that enables him to best cater to the needs of his patients. He has a deep passion for Ocular Pathology.
Outside of work, He enjoy spending time with family and friends. He is a huge football fan. He loves hiking and spending time outdoors and in nature.
Willem Cronje completed his studies in Optometry at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Willem assumed the reigns of the practice in 2019 under the name Kriel & Cronje Optometry, where the practice continues its 60-year reputation as a reputable eye-care service provider for the people of Polokwane and surrounds. Now known as Spectacle Warehouse Optometrists, Polokwane.
Outside the workplace, Willem is a private pilot and recently obtained his aerobatic rating to enter competitive flying. He has combined his expertise in optometry and aviation.
Where aviation and vision meet, his consultations provide flight medicals and corrective lenses for pilots.
